Saturday May 18, 2019
This week, we're excited to finally talk about who we'd cast in true crime movies about some well known serial killers. After all the success of Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile and My Friend Dahmer, we've been talking about who we think would really take on these challenging roles. All side by side images will be on the website and across our social media so go take a look and let us know if you agree with our picks! 64 - Diane Downs
Saturday May 11, 2019
Saturday May 11, 2019
After a weekend of pampering our moms, we're gonna talk about one of the worst mothers in the world, Diane Downs. On a May night in 1983, Downs stopped her car on a secluded Oregon road, took a gun out of the trunk, and shot her three children. Believe it or not, that's not the craziest detail of the case. 61 - The Mothman
Monday Apr 29, 2019
Monday Apr 29, 2019
Since he was first spotted in 1966, the Mothman has almost become something of a town mascot for Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Whether you think he's a harbinger of death or delivering warnings for impending disasters, this cryptid's history is shrouded in mystery. He also seems to be in the top 5 most merchandized cryptid ever. 60 - Robert Berdella
Monday Apr 22, 2019
Monday Apr 22, 2019
Also known as "The Kansas City Butcher" and "The Collector", Robert Berdella kidnapped, raped, and viciously tortured at least six men between 1984-1987. With crimes on the same level as more infamous killers such as Jeffrey Dahmer and Albert Fish, this episode definitely deserves a trigger warning for descriptions of graphic torture. Strap in and get ready for another super bummer episode. 59 - The Keddie Cabin Murders
Monday Apr 15, 2019
Monday Apr 15, 2019
The sleepy resort town of Keddie is the sight of one of the most horrific quadruple murders in American history. In April 1981, Sue Sharp, two of her children, and one of their friends were brutally murdered in their cabin surrounded by close neighbors. The details of the case grow stranger the more you hear about it and serve as the premise for a terrifying horror movie. 58 - Dorángel Vargas
Monday Apr 08, 2019
Monday Apr 08, 2019
With names like "El Comegente" (The People Eater)and "The Hannibal Lecter of The Andes", we knew we had to research the story of Dorángel Vargas (thanks to our friend Luis for the suggestion!) Vargas was a homeless man living in a park in San Cristobal, Venezuela who would hunt and eat men who passed by. Although his name is not as well known here in the States, he has still inspired some well known pop culture! Monday Apr 01, 2019
This week, we have a killer couple with a TON of references in pop culture. Charles Starkweather and his girlfriend, Caril Ann Fugate's mass murder spree in 1958 gripped the entire state of Nebraska with its brutality and the young age of its murderers. After we discuss the crazy case, we cover the books, movies, and music that it inspired.
